Data Driven School Improvement (DDSI)

    The LEAD Center's newest program is designed to positively impact the ability of school leaders to make educational decisions based on the wise use of data. Learning experiences focus on improving schools through the process of understanding, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data.   
                                                                                          

MAJOR OBJECTIVES:     
    
Data Driven School Improvement (DDSI) aims to develop instructional leaders who have knowledge and skills in the following major areas:
     -  Maintaining a focus on continuously improving the quality of an 
        educational  program.
     -  Understanding different types of educational tests and measurements.
     - 
Accurately analyzing and interpreting various kinds of test data.
     - 
Using multiple measures and indicators of student performance.
     - 
Creating a vision for schools becoming data driven organizations
        through the use of technology as an enabling factor.
     - 
Articulating what constitutes a high quality instructional program that
        supports student achievement.
     - 
Communicating assessment information both externally and internally.
     - 
Creating a culture of accountability in schools.

FORMAT:
     The DDSI course consists of two two-day sessions with on-the-job assignments and practice between the sessions.

GRADUATE CREDIT:
Participants may earn two semester hours of graduate credit by completing the course.

COSTS:
$350  (fee received by last day of Phase 1 )
$370  (fee received or billed after last day of Phase 1)

$110   Optional Graduate Credit Fee



ENROLLMENT:
     To ensure the highest level of quality, enrollment is limited to 30 per class.  Those who enroll after the course is full will automatically be placed on a waiting list and will receive priority for the next available openings based on the order in which they enrolled.
